Why not get fit and help a worthy cause at the same time...
WALK TO WORK FOR THE MICROLOAN FOUNDATION
On 12th September, people all over the world will Walk to Work for the MicroLoan
Foundation, raising money to help women in Africa set up their own businesses.
The idea is really simple. You just need to make a small donation to the MicroLoan
Foundation to register and walk. Or, if you’re feeling really fit, you also have the option
to Walk the Week, starting on September 8th.
How you choose to raise money is up to you. You could get your friends and family to
sponsor you, send us your normal train or bus fare, or simply make a donation. The
size of a typical first loan is £25 – so for every £25 you raise, you’ll provide enough
money to help another woman develop her own business and support her family.
To find out more and register, please click here or contact Sarah-Jane Seel Walk to
Work Coordinator on 020 8996 1730 or email sj.seel@mlf.org.uk.
My staff and I shall be walking to work on the 12th September
so maybe we will bump into each other!
Best Wishes
Pauline Purves
Who are the Mircoloan Foundation?
The MicroLoan Foundation is a microfinance charity that helps women in Malawi
and Zambia to set up their own businesses. By giving them microloans, basic
business training and ongoing support, we help our clients to feed, clothe and
educate their families and become independent from charity.
